Gladys Werhulst wins on her land !

First Women’s Tour of Normandy and first victory for Gladys VERHULST, the rookie of the team, on his home soil during the first stage.

For one of the only stage races of the month of March, the team knew how to talk its collective to surround Gladys in its quest for victory. The Frenchwoman won the first stage in the sprint, after having perfectly maneuvered in the final.

The second stage will have been more complex in its management. After a great number of Cédrine KERBAOL, Gladys has to give up the leader’s jersey. A tunic that the team will not manage to recover on the last day of the race.

An end of the race that will leave a bitter taste to all, but which will serve as an example for the next races. Indeed, Gladys fails at 1 second in the general classification.

The Tour de Normandie brings a mixture of satisfaction with the victory of Gladys on the first stage and for the whole race, but also a slight disappointment for the second stage where we may have lacked some lucidity.

We were able to observe a superb collective work, a team very close and involved towards a common goal. It was beautiful to see.
