FDJ-SUEZ Team is pleased to announce the appointment of Lars Boom as sports director, with immediate effect.
World cyclocross champion in 2008 and stage winner on Tour de France 2014 and Vuelta 2009, Lars successfully transitioned from a rider of great talent to an accomplished sports director within Liv Racing team in 2021 and SD Worx-Protime from 2022 to 2024.
Lars Boom will bring his great experience of race tactics to strengthen the team’s spring classics department, and will work closely with current DS, Nicolas Maire, and directors of performance, Lieselot Decroix and Flavien Soenen.
