Cecilie Uttrup-Ludwig won the Giro Dell’Emilia on Saturday 30 September 2023, marking her 20th success of the season..
Already crowned in this event in 2020, Cecilie Uttrup-Ludwig brilliantly completed the 103.5km, overcoming the final 1.9km climb with a demanding 18% section to reach the finish line in San Luca, near Bologna. This triumph brings his total number of career victories to 17. This season, she has already won three, including two stages at the Tour of Scandinavia in August.
The team’s success was underlined by Marta Cavalli’s second place. Nicolas Maire (DS), praised the collective performance and the strategy adopted, thanks in particular to the efforts of Jade Wiel and Vittoria Guazzini, who positioned their leaders ideally at key moments in the race.
“The Giro dell’Emilia is an event that highlights the strengths of our female riders. Our previous successes, such as the Tour of the Pyrenees and the Tour de l’Ardèche, bear witness to that.”
Stephen Delcourt – General Manager
There were also strong performances from Evita Muzic, who finished 8th, and Loes Adegeest, in 15th place.
The team will be present on the racing front from Tuesday 3 October 2023, with the Tre Valli Varesine in Italy and Binche-Chimay-Binche in Belgium.
