{"id":8512,"date":"2025-01-29T10:32:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T09:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdj-suez.fr\/a-first-success-in-australia-with-ally-wollaston\/"},"modified":"2025-02-24T09:52:41","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T08:52:41","slug":"a-first-success-in-australia-with-ally-wollaston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fdj-suez.fr\/en\/a-first-success-in-australia-with-ally-wollaston\/","title":{"rendered":"A first success in Australia with Ally Wollaston"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>On Wednesday 29 January, Ally Wollaston gave the team its first victory of the season by winning the very first women&#8217;s edition of the Surf Coast Classic. <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>After a race controlled by the peloton, the New Zealander won the sprint at <strong>Torquay<\/strong>, making a promising start to the season with his new team.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A lively climb before a massive finish<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the very first kilometres, the ascent of <strong>Silk Hill<\/strong> (10km at 4.2%) livened up the race, sparking several breakaway attempts. Despite the formation of a leading group of around ten riders, the peloton, determined to ensure a grouped finish, caught up with the escapees at <strong>30 kilometers of arrival<\/strong>.
