{"id":4132,"date":"2023-07-03T10:18:09","date_gmt":"2023-07-03T08:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdj-suez.fr\/giro-donne-back-on-the-first-days-of-the-race\/"},"modified":"2023-12-21T09:36:38","modified_gmt":"2023-12-21T08:36:38","slug":"giro-donne-back-on-the-first-days-of-the-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fdj-suez.fr\/en\/giro-donne-back-on-the-first-days-of-the-race\/","title":{"rendered":"Giro Donne : back on the first days of the race"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>After the cancellation of the first stage due to adverse weather conditions, the Giro Donne 2023 got underway on Saturday between Bagno a Ripoli and Marradi. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STAGE 2 (Saturday 01 July)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Annemiek van Vleuten (Movistar Team), in search of a sixth consecutive Grand Tour victory, made his mark on this second stage, winning solo after a daring attack just over a kilometre from the summit of the Passo della Colla, with around twenty kilometres to go, to finish with a lead of 45 seconds over a group of ten cyclists.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This chasing group included Denmark&#8217;s Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig, who won the sprint brilliantly, closely followed by France&#8217;s Juliette Labous (DSM). Victory went to Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The general ranking remains unchanged. Annemiek van Vleuten retains her pink jersey with a 49-second lead over Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig, currently second on the GC.
