Thanks to this performance, the FDJ-SUEZ team recorded its 18th victory of the season, setting an unprecedented record.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This victory was expected and it rewards the team&#8217;s efforts throughout the competition,&#8221; said Cavalli after the race. She dedicated this success to her grandfather.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team&#8217;s tactical approach was decisive. Despite the topographical challenges of the stage, which included four major climbs, Cavalli positioned himself well. &#8220;I&#8217;m comfortable on mountainous terrain&#8221;, she said.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the stage also had its share of challenges. Erica Magnaldi, from UAE Team ADQ, tried to take the lead on the penultimate climb. Cavalli joined her, and together they dominated the descent. However, it was in the final straight that Cavalli made the difference, extending his lead and crossing the line in first place.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this stage victory, Cavalli also takes the leader&#8217;s pink jersey. There are two stages left, and the Italian is determined to maintain her lead. &#8220;I&#8217;m ready to defend this jersey,&#8221; she declared.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9 September 2023 will therefore be marked by the success of Marta Cavalli and the seasonal record of the FDJ-SUEZ team in the Tour de l&#8217;Ard\u00e8che.
