{"id":11331,"date":"2026-04-19T19:50:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T17:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdj-suez.fr\/?p=11331"},"modified":"2026-06-30T09:55:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T07:55:09","slug":"celia-gery-wins-the-chambery-womens-grand-prix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fdj-suez.fr\/en\/celia-gery-wins-the-chambery-womens-grand-prix\/","title":{"rendered":"C\u00e9lia Gery wins the Chamb\u00e9ry Women\u2019s Grand Prix"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>On Sunday 19 April, C\u00e9lia Gery won the Chamb\u00e9ry Women\u2019s Grand Prix, securing a second consecutive victory in two days for FDJ UNITED-SUEZ.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this 23rd edition of the Savoyard race, held around Chamb\u00e9ry-le-Vieux in Savoie, C\u00e9lia claimed victory over a 122.1-kilometre course, which counted as the first round of the FDJ United French Women\u2019s Professional Cup. The 150 riders at the start had to cross the finish line ten times, alternating between five large 15.7 km loops and five smaller 8.7 km loops in the Chamb\u00e9ry area, covering a total of over 1,800 metres of elevation gain.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pace was high right from the start, largely driven by the team, which prevented any breakaway from forming but led to a series of attacks and cullings that quickly reduced the peloton. By the 70-kilometre mark, the leading group had been whittled down to just thirty riders. Marie made her move 45 kilometres from the finish, quickly opening up a 25-second gap before being reeled back in.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the final stretch, on the gruelling finish line climb, C\u00e9lia didn\u2019t wait until the last few metres to make her move: she launched her attack early, catching her rivals off guard and winning by a comfortable margin.
