Ideally protected by her teammates, European champion Demi Vollering won convincingly in Ninove, securing her first career victory at the Omloop Nieuwsblad. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the 135-kilometre race, the team set the pace to put their leader in the best possible position. The work began with an initial attack by Elise around 30 kilometres from the finish. After a huge relay from German champion Franziska, Demi took the lead by setting a very fast pace. With 16 kilometres to go, victory was assured for the two women. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">True to form, Demi launched her sprint at 150 metres to power past Niewiadoma.
