Vosges challenge : Grace in the breakaway, Evita in the top 10

Stage 6 – Remiremont-Morteau

The steep gradient and the heat on the roads to Morteau made this stage very difficult. Plenty of ice and water bottles were handed out to help athletes keep up with today’s average speed of over 39km/h.

Our Australian Grace Brown managed to get into the big breakaway of the day and was even one of the last to resist the return of the peloton. The team also brought the peloton in at the end of the race because Evita had ambitions for this stage.

Cédrine Kerbaol, who won the stage solo, is the first French rider to win the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift. Evita finished 9th at the finish line and is already concentrating on tomorrow’s stage.

Stage 7 of the Tour de France Femmes will start in Champagnole and plunge straight into the mountains. At 175.9km, the longest stage of this year’s race, it will put the peloton to the test before reaching the finish in Le Grand-Bornand.
