Marta Cavalli injured after training fall

It is with bitterness but above all with unfailing determination that the FDJ-SUEZ team announces that Marta Cavalli has suffered an injury following a fall during training at the Training Camp in Benidorm.

Medical examinations confirmed a bone contusion in the pelvis. The 25-year-old Italian is already following a specific medical protocol to ensure a full recovery.

Marta is an exceptional athlete and a key member of our team. His health and recovery are our top priority. We are all behind her at this difficult time. Her courage and determination inspire us, and we are confident that she will come back stronger than ever.”

Stephen Delcourt – General Manager

Although Marta will have to undergo a period of rest and recovery, she is working closely with the team’s medical team and coaches to ensure a 100% return to the highest level.

The team is fully committed to providing Marta with all the support she needs to return to competition safely and in the best possible conditions.

We wish Marta a speedy and complete recovery and look forward to seeing her back on the bike, demonstrating the talent and determination that have made her one of the most respected and admired cyclists in the peloton.
