The FDJ-SUEZ team is proud to announce the signing of promising Dutch athlete Lauren Molengraaf for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Aged just 18, Lauren is already a rising star in the world of cycling, excelling on the road, in cyclo-cross and mountain biking.
Although Lauren is still in a learning phase when it comes to road racing, the FDJ-SUEZ team believes in her potential. Her integration into the Women’s World Team is seen as an exceptional opportunity for her to develop, thanks in particular to the experience of the other members of the team and staff.
“We are excited by the potential she brings to our team, especially as she is still in the discovery phase of her strength on the road. Our commitment to her symbolises not only our vision for women’s cycling, but also our belief in emerging talent.”
Stephen Delcourt, general manager, shares his optimism :
The partnership with Lauren is part of an unprecedented three-way collaboration between Intermarché-Circus-Wanty, FDJ-SUEZ and Lapierre-Mavic Unity. This alliance symbolises the forward-thinking vision these three entities share for cycling, striving to push back established boundaries to provide the best possible environment for talent like Lauren.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to join a Women’s World Team, a great team like FDJ-Suez. What’s more, the team gives me the freedom to combine three disciplines. I can count on their full support to prepare me for all my goals. It’s a great vote of confidence. For a young rider like me, it’s incredible.
Lauren expresses her enthusiasm about this new step:
The arrival of Lauren Molengraaf embodies FDJ-SUEZ’s ambition for the future of women’s cycling.
With Lauren’s determination, her innate talent, and the combined support of three dedicated teams, she is ready to defy expectations and push the boundaries.
