Gan Assurances (Groupe Groupama) gets back into cycling

A compter du 25 juin et des championnats nationaux, le logo Gan Assurances figurera sur les manches et la poitrine droite du maillot FDJ-SUEZ, pour une durée de 3 ans.

Cycling is part of the DNA of Gan Assurances. It is the legacy of a history that began in the 1970s alongside Raymond Poulidor and continued in the 1990s with the Gan team. Today, by investing in women’s cycling, Gan Assurances is making a choice in a fast-moving sport where history is being made.

FDJ-SUEZ is a champion team built on the unity of its athletes, where performance comes from the strength of the team. As the first French team to join the Women’s WorldTour, FDJ-SUEZ promotes elite women’s cycling and shares common values of trust and commitment with each of its partners.

« Cycling is in our DNA, the legacy of a history that began with Raymond Poulidor. Supporting the FDJ-SUEZ team means reconnecting with a sport that is close to the people and rooted locally. It’s also a way of promoting these athletes who are shaking things up, by investing in women’s cycling. Being present at every stage, making a difference thanks to the strength of the team, that’s what drives us alongside our general agents, in the service of our customers. » – Laurent Bouschon, Chief Executive Officer of Gan Assurances

« It’s a great satisfaction for the Groupama Group to have made this operation possible. We’ve known Stephen Delcourt for several years, and I knew that one day we’d have the opportunity to extend our strong commitment to cycling, through the Groupama-FDJ team, by extending our group’s support to women’s cycling, obviously with the FDJ-Suez women’s team. When the opportunity arose, I immediately thought of our subsidiary Gan Assurances, which we want to give new visibility to. This new partnership marks a further step in the development of an offensive, articulate and coherent strategy in terms of cycling sponsorship. » – Sylvain Burel, Groupama’s Communications Director

« It is with great pride that we welcome GAN Assurances as a major partner of FDJ-SUEZ for the next three seasons. This partnership is part of a strong history between GAN, cycling and, more broadly, the Groupama Group, whose links with our sport are deeply rooted. For the past twenty years, our team has moved forward with the conviction that loyalty to our values – teamwork, commitment and daring – is the best way to make history. The arrival of GAN Assurances will enable us to continue our development, aim even higher and continue to build the future of women’s cycling. » – Stephen Delcourt, General Manager FDJ-SUEZ

About FDJ-SUEZ

In 2006, the FDJ-SUEZ women’s team was born out of the desire of a father, supported by long-standing partners such as Futuroscope and the Vienne département, to enable his cycling daughter to develop her sporting potential.

In 2017, through the initiative of General Manager Stephen Delcourt, FDJ became a title sponsor, joined by SUEZ in June 2022 as co-title sponsor.

The first French team to join the world’s elite, the UCI Women’s World Team, the team has 18 riders of 5 different nationalities. After several remarkable seasons, punctuated with victories, notably in the Tour de France Women with Zwift, the Giro, the Vuelta and in the monuments of women’s cycling such as Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Amstel Gold Race and La Flèche Wallonne, FDJ-SUEZ has passed the threshold of 80 victories in 2025.

The 2025 season, which celebrates the team’s 20th anniversary, has already confirmed the opening of a new chapter. Now equipped with Specialized bikes and boosted by the arrival of Demi Vollering and Juliette Labous to complete the trio of leaders formed with Evita Muzic, FDJ-SUEZ has turned its ambitions into concrete results: an opening victory in the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana (13-16 February), a sprint success for New Zealander Ally Wollaston in the Clásica de Almería, a masterly triumph for Vollering on the white roads of the Strade Bianche (8 March), a historic first Grand Tour for the team with the conquest of the Vuelta Femenina (10 May), then a stage/general classification double in the Itzulia Women (18 May). At the halfway stage of the season, the team already has more than 10 victories to its name.
