FDJ-SUEZ is continuing its ambitious recruitment drive for the 2025 season and is proud to announce the signing of Elise Chabbey on a two-year contract.
Elise Chabbey (31) is an ultra-complete Swiss cyclist, capable of unlocking any race, on any terrain. This unique athlete also has the distinction of being the first athlete to have represented Switzerland at two Olympic Games and in two different disciplines: Kayak K1 – London 2012; Road Cycling – Paris 2024.
In her career, Elise has distinguished herself with the title of Swiss Road Champion in 2020, and with excellent results such as 4th place in the Paris-Roubaix 2022 or 3rd place overall in the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta 2021. In 2024, Elise Chabbey won the mountain classification of the Tour de Suisse and finished 4th in Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Today, these performances place her among the top 20 most prolific athletes in the UCI world rankings.
A medical graduate, Elise Chabbey is also the winner of the Walthard 2020 prize, awarded by the University of Geneva, for her exceptional academic and sporting achievements.
“Elise Chabbey is one of the great talents of the professional peloton, an offensive and extremely tough athlete, capable of totally transforming a locked race single-handedly. She has the legs to go and get that big win that’s missing from her record, and it’s up to us to guide her towards that goal. Elise will also undoubtedly be one of our team’s most important assets in our bid to win a Grand Tour overall. Her signature in the FDJ-SUEZ collective is superb news”.
Stephen Delcourt – General Manager
“The decision to join FDJ-SUEZ was a long one. The team can help me turn a corner and go for a big win. Raising my arms is an objective, but I’m also looking forward to supporting my leaders in the Grand Tours, with the very special ambition of winning the Tour de France in the jersey of a French team”.
