Stage 2 – Brest > Quimper (110,4km)
On Sunday 27 July, the peloton of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes covered 110.4 kilometres between Brest et Quimper, on a demanding route in the heart of Finistère. A hilly stage, marked by a fast-paced race that ended with a solo victory for the Spaniard Mavi Garcia (Movistar).
From the very first kilometres, the peloton was shaken by attacks. Aude Biannic and Franziska Koch (Pic Nic Post NL) were the first to break away, forming a breakaway that was caught 61 km from the finish. An attacking trio then led the race until 12 km from the finish line, before being caught : Elise Chabbey, Silke Smulders (Liv AlUla Jayco) and Maud Rijnbeek (team volkerwessels), relayed for a time by Riejanne Markus (visma lease a bike).
9 km from the finish line, it’s Mavi Garcia, the oldest rider in the peloton, who surprised everyone with a sharp attack. Setting off alone, she managed to hold off the peloton in the final few hundred metres, winning with three seconds ahead.
Behind, Lorena Wiebes (team SD Worx protime) leads the peloton sprint for 2nd place, ahead of Kim Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal Team), third of the day and nouvelle leader du classement général.
Demi Vollering finished among the favourites, retaining her 5th place overall and Elise Chabbey conserve son maillot à pois best climber. Our French women Evita and Juliette are 27‘ and 48’ respectively the yellow jersey in the overall classification at the end of this second stage in Finistère. FDJ-SUEZ also remains in first place in the team rankings.

Stage 3 : La Gacilly > Angers (163,5 km)
Tomorrow, the peloton will leave Brittany for a longer stage towards Loire-Atlantique. A flatter terrain could favour a more classic scenario this time, with breakaway attempts and a possible bunch sprint finish. Broadcast: from 3:35 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. on France 2.
