Sunday, August 13, 2023 was marked by a double success for the FDJ-SUEZ. In parallel to Gladys Verhulst’s victory at the Picto-Charentaise, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig distinguished herself in the online event of the world championships in Scotland.
After covering the 154.1 km of the event, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig won the bronze medal. The race saw Lotte Kopecky, representative of Belgium, win, closely followed by the Dutch Demi Vollering. Ludwig and Vollering crossed the finish line at the same time.
This performance is another milestone in Cecilie’s journey to the World Championships, having previously finished 8th in 2020 and 2021, and 5th in 2022 in Australia.
