Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig finished 11th overall in the Tour of Burgos in Spain on Sunday 21 May 2023.
The previous weeks had been positive for the FDJ-SUEZ team in Spain, with Evita Muzic taking sixth place in the Vuelta and the Itzulia race. The women’s Tour of Burgos presented a new playing field, particularly in the absence of former French champion Evita Muzic, who hasn’t started since Quintanaortuno last Thursday.
Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig was the best performing FDJ-SUEZ cyclist in the event. She finished 4’28 behind Demi Vollering (SD Worx) at the top of the rankings.
Uttrup Ludwig also put in a notable performance on the final stage on Sunday, finishing sixth at 1’52 behind the Dutch cyclist, crossing the finish line after 121.5 kilometres between Tordomat and Lagunas of Neila. –
Next up is the RideLondon Classic, a new round of the Women’s World Tour. This event will take place in Great Britain from 26 to 28 May.
