The FDJ-SUEZ team regrets to announce that Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig has suffered a fracture in a crash during the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad race in Belgium on Saturday 24 February.
The medical examinations carried out revealed a fracture of the sacrum, resulting in a period of unavailability for the athlete, the duration of which remains undetermined to this day.
FDJ-SUEZ’s sole priority is Cecilie’s well-being and full recovery. The team is committed to providing Cecilie with the best possible support, and is working on a personalised care and recovery programme to help her make the best possible recovery and return to competition in the best possible conditions.
Although the length of Cecilie’s recovery cannot be precisely determined at this stage, we are totally confident in her ability to get through this ordeal. Cecilie has always shown extraordinary determination, a quality that will undoubtedly benefit her as she prepares for her return to competition.
